The Civil War
On April 14, 1861, Fort Sumter had to suffer a thirty-four hour shelling by the Confederate Army. This was the beginning of a bloody and costly war, and the lives of our young men and boys that served in this war would be forever changed. They were soon trained to be expert executioners and were dying by the thousands on battlefields left red with the blood of these young men. As you read The Civil War Blanton Soldiers of Valor, let the history of this horrible war live in your mind, and feel the pain and grief the families of these young men had to suffer. Walk into the bloody battlefields and see the thousands of bodies lying on the ground, some dead, some dying and some crying for their loved ones to come and help them.
The Civil War Blanton Soldiers of Valor was written to honor all the Civil War soldiers, but especially the BLANTON men that lived and died on these battlefields of blood. Read the story of David Joseph BLANTON who fought so heroically all through the war and just before the war ended, he died after getting sick from being in the trenches of Petersburg, Virginia. There is the story of two brothers who fought together on the battlefields of Corinth and as one brother saw his brother go down, he rode to his assistance only to be shot down as he was trying to help him. Both these brave boys died on the battlefield that day. Oh sad the day, when the sky turned blue and gray.
Read all about the history of the Civil War from the bombardment of Fort Sumter to the steps of the Appomattox Court House in Virginia.
Read the personal stories from BLANTON family members of how their Civil War ancestors lived and died in the war.
Was The Civil War Really about slavery?
Walk Joshua James BLANTON III, my grandfather, as he traveled the roads to the battles and find out how his life was forever changed.
Find out all about Stonewall Jackson and his brave and fearless service in the Civil War.
The names of the BLANTON men that served in the War are listed for each state with the unit they served both Union and Confederate.
Read all about the young life of Abraham LINCOLN and how he attained the highest office in the land.

Stolen Away My Mother's True Story
Stolen Away...A True Story is the amazing tragic true story of the kidnapping of my mother, Eugenia, when she was just a young girl. Not only was she "Stolen Away" once in a failed kidnapping effort, but the very same kidnapping took place again a few years later. This is a tragic story of a young girl's plight after being given away to a loving family when she was only a baby and then torn from their loving arms by her own mother after a series of tragic events took place within her foster parents lives.
